Onward Search is on the hunt for a Marketing Communications Manager who has experience in social media, influencer marketing, and PR to join our cannabis client. 

You'll be working with a team of creatives and report directly to the CMO. You'll manage the social media communications and influencer network of the company. You will help define the overall social media marketing strategy and execution for our client's massive fan base. You will also help with all PR efforts from writing press releases to securing print & digital media placements.

We are seeking Marketing Communications Managers who meet the following requirements: 

  • Must have experience developing and nurturing relationships with key influencers and journalists
  • Must have experience managing social media campaigns, both concept and hands-on execution
  • Helping to write and produce content
  • Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbal 
  • Must have PR skills such as creating electronic press kits (EPKs) and drafting press releases
  • Experience securing placements in top tier print and digital publications, particularly those related to cannabis / design / business / technology / culture around the company's brand, products, and events  


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
