Onward Search is seeking an Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with experience in Google Cloud Platform to support our client growing in the online financial space.
Responsibilities:
Deploy and automate workloads on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to enhance existing ci/cd frameworks to support IT services, including enterprise network platforms.
Work closely with security and compliance teams to integrate surveillance tooling into deployment pipelines.
Design and implement automation solutions to streamline operational IT support workflows.
Architect, implement, and support Kubernetes deployments.
Develop a technology roadmap based on product requirements.
Participate in on-call duties to support AWS service deployment pipelines.
Promote a DevSecOps mindset and establish best practices for top-tier cloud security.
Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
Establish and maintain high-quality technical documentation standards for IT engineering.
Thrive in an operational environment with strict SLAs and managed incident response and disaster recovery strategies.
Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and facilitate blameless retrospectives.
Define relevant metrics and design/implement automation solutions based on monitoring and observability.
Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting GCP infrastructure.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in automating cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.).
Strong command of version control using CI/CD, particularly Git.
Expertise in configuring and implementing modern open-source tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Profound experience with configuration management systems like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.
Extensive knowledge of containers and container orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
