Our client, a computer networking company, is searching for a Senior Copywriter with 5+ years of experience.

This is a contract-to-hire role, 40 hrs/wk onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
*Ability to work from home 1 day/wk.

This client is going through an extensive rebranding effort, led by the Brand Team. An important part of the Brand Team’s charter is to serve as an internal creative agency for the company, defining/maintaining the brand’s visual essence and developing a wide array of creative assets for marketers across the company.

The Senior Copywriter will write compelling, concise, and effective copy to help tell our brand story across a variety of media including but not limited to digital advertising, infographics, video scripts, and events. Successful candidates are word nerds and experts at short-form copywriting - a specialty that not all good copywriters possess! This person is a wizard at condensing multiple sentences down to 4-5 provocative, hard-hitting words that are thick with meaning. While we may want a snappy headline writer we do need them to be a deeper thinker and be able to help with all content types whether starting from scratch or making things better. This is a huge opportunity for someone to stand out and help lead the brand from a content perspective. This person will be reporting to the Creative Director.

  • Skills taking very technical information and making it compelling and benefit driven
  • Conceptualize and author creative copy across a variety of media/channels
  • Expertise in and passion for the craft of writing short-form copy (e.g., headline, body copy, video scripts)
  • A knack for writing eye-catching, relevant headlines; can you grab people’s attention five words or less?
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of brand voice and style, ensuring they are appropriately executed throughout everything written
  • Proofread anything that comes your way
  • Strong communicator and a great storyteller
  • Work collaboratively; we’re looking for people who love working in teams and whom others want on their teams

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in creative, marketing, or communications writing, preferably in an in-house or agency environment
  • Experience working effectively with a creative team of designers, copywriters, art directors, creative directors, etc.
  • A natural affinity for being a team player
  • Detail oriented with a low tolerance for spelling and grammatical errors
  • A solid portfolio of copy that demonstrates short form brand and campaign writing is a must
