Sr. Global Sourcing Analyst

Onward Search is seeking a Sr. Global Sourcing Analyst for one of our clients on a contract basis working a hybrid schedule in New York, NY. 

Job Summary:
The Senior Global Sourcing Analyst will collaborate with Sourcing team leaders to optimize processes, analyze risks, and implement cost-saving measures. This role involves conducting competitive events, leveraging e-Business tools, negotiating with suppliers, and contributing to diversity and sustainability initiatives. The analyst will also play a key role in maintaining process workflows, ensuring data accuracy, and presenting results to stakeholders, while actively participating in ad hoc projects to support the sourcing team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, with an MBA considered a valuable asset.
• Previous experience in sourcing, finance, media, or operations environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills, adept in business process analysis, and proficient in problem-solving.
• Proficient in utilizing technology-based systems, including expertise in spend analytics and procurement tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, encompassing Excel (VBA a plus), Power BI, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in data analysis, financial/quantitative modeling, and proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically, interpret specifications, and exercise sound judgment in making business decisions.
• Proficiency in developing detailed work breakdown structures, data interpretation, and presentation.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• High motivation and a results-oriented work ethic.
• Openness to learning and understanding sourcing best practices.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and navigate through ambiguity.
