You will be responsible for the product lifecycle (inception to delivery), market research, P&L, marketing strategy, customer support, pricing and quality. You will breathe life into it.

Experience with SaaS is a must as you will integrate your knowledge of hardware and software platforms. Also, you will interact with Finance, IT, Legal, and Supply Chain leaders.


  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives
  • Obtains product market share by working with Sales to develop product sales strategies.
  • Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests
  • Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
  • Mentors product management by assisting in the training of junior employees
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum of 10 years' experience in product development in B2B, B2C or SaaS products
  • An MBA is preferred


  • Training and supervision experience
  • Working and directing project teams
  • Successfully scheduling projects
  • Running meetings
  • Working directly with stakeholders in a professional and ethical manner
  • Managing project budgets
  • Professional certification from an accredited certification program: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from development to project closure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and project schedules, properly document projects, and work well with customers to achieve customer satisfaction on every job

Competency Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, etc.
  • Ability to compose and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and/or the public
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and simultaneously deal with abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to assist employees in understanding project objectives and specifications and see various points of view


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
