Senior Software Engineer - Salt Lake City, UT

We invite seasoned professionals with over 8 years of experience in software engineering to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer in Salt Lake City. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the second phase of our Salt Lake City initiative, contributing to the development and support of digital capabilities on fidelity.com. We value self-starters who can quickly adapt to our application framework and contribute meaningfully to our growing product portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Utilize 6+ years of Java full-stack development expertise (Java, Spring/Springboot) with a focus on 60-70% backend responsibilities.
• Leverage 2+ years of experience with Content Management Systems (Tridion, Wordpress, AEM preferred).
• Demonstrate proficiency in AWS and Nodejs application development.
• Exhibit expertise in web services (RESTful), automation test frameworks, and log monitoring tools.
• Apply Object-Oriented design principles to navigate large web applications.
• Utilize software configuration management tools like Git, Jenkins, and uDeploy.
• Solve complex problems collaboratively, documenting systems and technical designs.
• Take ownership of tasks and projects, showcasing a passion for self-motivated, quick learning.
• Collaborate effectively in a distributed team (Globally), with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

**Qualifications:**

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer.
• Experience with Java full-stack development, Nodejs, and CMS (Tridion preferred).
• Proficiency in AWS and experience with testing/devops.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile, dynamic environment.
• Excellent team/partnering skills and the ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Familiarity with distributed team collaboration and global work environments is preferred.

**Interview Process:**

• Two rounds, each lasting 90 minutes.

The Content Management Development Team is an integral part of our Personal Investing business unit, dedicated to building and supporting the content management platform for DCM (Digital Content Management) on the company website. We operate with an agile mindset, focusing on innovation and quality software development. We embrace "Dynamic Working," encouraging a flexible work arrangement that balances personal and business needs. Most associates will follow a hybrid schedule, with a requirement to work onsite at a company location for at least one week every four weeks, subject to change.
