Our client, an award winning branding agency, is in search of a Strategy Director to join their team on a permanent basis. This role begins on-site in New York City as soon as possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop strong client partner relationships, solidifying your position as a trusted strategic advisor.
  • Work with clients across a range of initiatives including brand positioning, architecture, analytics, brand engagement and digital strategy.
  • Lead all strategic projects for your clients developing innovative solutions based on strong research and ingenuity.
  • Build up your knowledge of the B2B business environment, your clients and their competitive landscape.
  • Oversee your team in the planning and execution of research (quant/qual), internet research, interviews, on-site research and online surveys.
  • Work with your client and internal partners to build and execute strategic recommendations to bring to market across print, digital, collateral, web, and more.
  • Work with the design team to ensure creative comes to life in a way that satisfies the brief and challenge.
  • Work with the program management team to make sure that projects are staffed appropriately and kept on track with the client agreed timeline.
  • Build your team both in number and experience, mentoring and guiding to grow a strong strategy team.
  • Work with vendors to set up surveys, working with them to set up analysis of data.
  • Take the strategic territories developed by your strategists and develop them into strong, client facing recommendations.

About you:

  • 6-7 years minimum all directly associated with B2B/Branding at a branding agency or consultancy.
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA in marketing/communication, liberal arts or similar discipline.
  • A passion for the branding space and B2B.
  • You are a strong leader and team player at the same time.
  • You are able to instill confidence in clients about you, the agency and the team's work.
  • A strong understanding of the complex B2B environment (eg. financial services, technology, fin-tech, mar-tech and cyber security).
  • You have an analytical mind, love research, solving complex problems and writing.
  • You are inquisitive, never taking the trusted solution as the only way of doing things.
  • Proven ability as a strong strategic client partner.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to travel to clients and research as needed.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web research.
