National financial firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Systems Engineer to join them for a contract engagement.

The Systems Engineer Evaluates and implements new software and hardware products into the infrastructure. Designs BCP strategies. Will engineer and test new technology solutions, and develop and follow corrective steps for problem resolution and outage situations. Procedures are produced during this process and passed onto support technicians. Engineer is also responsible for recommending solutions for business driven requirements, and uses specialized knowledge in server, workstation, and application infrastructure technologies to recommend enterprise solutions. More experienced Systems Engineers will act as a project manager for medium to large scale infrastructure projects. More experienced Systems Engineers may provide architecture, design and engineering support for level 1 infrastructure servers and services providing directory, application permissions, logon/logoff services and messaging. More experienced Engineers may also lead the work of less experienced Systems Engineers.


  • 3-6 Years Experience
  • Engineers will work with a high degree of autonomy and without direct supervision
  • Often the engineers are presented with solely a problem or limited set of requirements and are expected to determine detail requirements and solution alternatives
  • Frequent and routine contact with vendors, peers, managers, other Technology staff, Business clients
  • Client server systems, enhanced knowledge of Technology products used and regulatory requirements; excellent decisions making skills, and judgment
