Our client, a small agency headquartered in idyllic Wisconsin Dells, WI, is seeking a Technology Director to join and lead their team. You will manage technologists in delivering high-quality digital solutions to our clients by translating complex technical solutions into easy-to-understand concepts.


  • Provides technology strategy and tactical recommendations and communicates directly with clients.
  • Stays current with emerging technologies in the marketing technology space.
  • Builds client relationships and trust, and acts as the extension to their team.
  • Participates in project scoping, risk identification, resource allocation, and timeline determination.
  • Partners with internal teams and clients in helping to identify high-level business and technical requirements.
  • Works to troubleshoot and resolve issues, identify areas of improvement and continually evolve the technology team.
  • Provides support, mentorship, and leadership to technology resources.
  • Makes an active role in career management for direct reports.
  • Helps grow and nurture talent by identifying areas of opportunity and growth.
  • Develops and implements the company’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the Information Technology infrastructure and related subjects.
  • Partners with the Creative Director in the delivery of all digital projects.
  • Works collaboratively with 3rd party IT and IS vendors to provide and promote the most secure, compliant and efficient interconnectivity with those partners and their systems.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Digital Director and/or Management.


  • A four-year degree (Computer Science or equivalent preferred).
  • 7+ years of professional experience (preferably at a creative agency).
  • 5+ years managing technical teams (preferably at a creative agency).
  • Experience in developing web-based products and working with Content Management Systems.
  • Significant experience with matching Internet technologies to business needs.
  • Successful record of accurately scoping budgets and resources on digital projects.
  • Strong history of collaborating with creative teams.
  • Impressive technical experience and senior level project delivery experience.
  • Deep familiarity with the digital environment.
  • Exceptional client facing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and delegate.
  • An eye for detail and a stickler for accuracy, detail, and precision.
  • Imagination and good visual sense.
  • Proficient with PHP, WordPress, JavaScript and HTML/CSS and other relevant software.
