Our client, a Detroit Metro based client is looking to add a well-rounded Technology Trainer to their staff on a direct hire basis.


  • The Technology Trainer identifies technology training needs by researching and interviewing the business communities, and then designs training content, necessary support materials, and facilitates training and follow ups to ensure user understanding. The Trainer continues to manage and update trainings according to the needs of the organization.
  • Additionally, the Trainer will partner within the IT team to manage level-set trainings and create standardized user practices with foundational software, new product or service onboarding, and manage specifically assigned vendor relationships for training tools.


  • Understand the changing climate of technology to understand which skills and competencies to retire, transform, and introduce to the organization
  • Research and interview business and technical teams to understand current and future business and technical needs
  • Develop and manage technology onboarding for new employees on proper use of hardware, software and engagement with IT best practices, and provide ongoing training according to corporate procedures
  • Evaluate the success of training sessions adapting to ensure highest quality results; adjust as needed where improvements are found, or business partners modify processes
  • Work with individual departments to create and deliver training specific to their use cases, both in software and development of their standards for use of collaboration tools
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with third-party training providers; manage those that are in place to our standards
  • Lead in developing best practices and standards for varied work modes (office, remote, hybrid), and suggest policies or tools that will enable success
  • Write and maintain training materials (i.e. intranet portals, workbooks, presentation materials, instructor guides, reference sheets, etc.)
  • Assist the help desk by understanding customer problems and answering operational questions
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to interact with internal staff members and external clients at all levels
  • Able to engage and entertain audiences using in-person, audio, and online channels
  • Self-starter; quest for lifelong learning and growth
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • General knowledge of Salesforce, Personify, virtual meeting and event products
  • Proficiency in office technology, including phone systems, room booking systems, and digital signage
  • Associates or BS in industry specific field
  • 2-4 years’ experience


  • Normal office environment
  • Regular, in-person attendance required
