UX Lead (Gaming)

Onward Play is looking for a UX Lead for our fantasy game studio client. This studio is group of fun, passionate people with a great culture and benefits!

The UX Design Lead will spearhead the design and implementation of UX and UI content for an upcoming game. In this role, you will closely collaborate with directors and department leads to develop and refine game features. The ideal candidate is adaptable and open to incorporating player feedback throughout the development process.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leadership to establish usability and information delivery goals for the project.
• Develop UX designs and specifications for a wide range of gameplay features and systems.
• Create interactive user flows and mockups that effectively communicate the intended player experience.
• Oversee the implementation of UX designs into the game engine.
• Review internal team and external partner content, providing feedback to ensure high-quality designs and UI assets.
• Maintain and refine UX team processes and best practices.

Requirements:

• Shipped at least one major game as the UX Design Lead or have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a design lead.
• Ability to translate abstract design concepts into functional player experiences.
• Proficiency in visualization tools and a working knowledge of Unreal UMG.
• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly and providing feedback and mentorship within the UX/UI team.
• Online portfolio showcasing UX capabilities, including wireframes, user flows, graphic design, and visual development examples.
