Our client, a major entertainment studio, is seeking a Scheduling/Planning Coordinator to join the Programming team.

You will report to the Manager of Programming and be responsible for:

  • Scheduling of all long form and short form programming for both kids' programming channels
  • Implement plans for the timely distribution of the program listings to both internal and external departments
  • Schedule episodes, movies and stunts for both linear platforms each month into scheduling system
  • Disseminate listings, premieres, series and movie play dates to relevant parties
  • Make schedule changes as needed
  • Maintain database information including episode, movies/specials titles, house numbers, media class and holiday information
  • Update episode roll out documents
  • Work closely with the Traffic department on series, movies/specials formats, review their scheduling system, WO for accurate and finalized schedules with updated formats and/or changes


  • 1 year in media related field preferred
  • Degree in Television or related field preferred
  • SIMS, and Wide Orbit Systems knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Comfortable working with a high volume of data entry in working in scheduling system, must be comfortable sitting at desk for long periods of time, must have a sense of how TV schedules & line ups work including time slots & flow of what on air programming looks like in terms of show and breaks
  • Must be highly organized with attention to detail and grammar as you will be dealing with a lot of episode titles
  • Professional phone manner and strong inter-personal people skills
  • Proficient in the following Applications: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written & verbal skills, excellent organizational skills


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
