Onward Search is on the hunt for a UI/UX Designer to join our global smart home security client for a 3 month assignment that is likely to extend. You will be responsible for design and execution of both Marketing and Ecommerce pages for a new product launch.


  • Deliver high-quality, innovative, and thoughtful deliverables that are customer-focused, simple and intuitive, with customer experience always at the forefront
  • Collaborate with strategists, copywriters and cross functional teams to develop creative concepts, execute innovative design and storytelling, and oversee projects through execution
  • Partner with a Copywriter to concept and determine design flow of all pages - how to talk about the product, how it sits within other products in the category, what information must be on the page, what is the Information Architecture for the page - taking into account how the user will read the information, in what order, to understand the product and ultimately click to purchase
  • Present design options and recommendations in a way that builds consensus, gets buy-in, and moves the project forward
  • Work with the video and photo team to create assets as needed
  • Package all assets to send to the Developers and Engineers and work with them during the QA phase


  • 5-8 years of experience in a UI/UX design role doing both concept and execution, ecommerce experience preferred
  • Experience in tech, as their products are very technical with features & functionality, must be able to translate this jargon to the consumer
  • Must be thoughtful with IA and design, understanding user flow and behavior
  • Exceptional design skills, including layout, typography, video, motion, design patterns
  • Advanced in Sketch and Figma, Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite
