Entertainment/gaming company is seeking a UI/UX ENGINEER to join their team. This company has some great successes with experiential games that push traditional gaming, which in turn pushes the team to create above and beyond games and supporting digital experiences.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for planning, implementing all UI systems
  • Provide information architecture
  • Respond quickly with UI from testing feedback and gameplay iterations
  • Provide dynamic elements and rich feedback
  • This role works closely with engineers, designers, artists and sound designers to ensure all UI meets functionality, usability and aesthetic requirements
  • Provide reusable, maintainable, robust code
  • Create tools to support the UI during live operation of our games
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 3+ years of relevant programming experience in the game industry
  • Experience building UI for games using common 3D APIs such as Metal, OpenGL or DirectX
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and solve problems presented by the team
  • Responds well to feedback, criticism and iterative design and/or continual improvement of our technology and games
  • Be fluent in C, C++ or C# and object-oriented programming
  • Have experience with scripting languages and multiple data formats (JSON, XML etc)

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Experience working on a live service multiplayer online game
  • Experience working on UI for mobile games
  • Experience with Lua or other scripting languages
