Onward Play is looking to hire an Unreal 4 Developer to join a team that creates virtual, mixed, and augmented reality software for the music and entertainment industry. 
Our client is growing their Development Department and hiring for a qualified Unreal 4 Developers to help their team. The right candidate will regularly be interfacing and leading at least five direct reports: Engine, Server, Game, and Q&A Lead Programmers, as well as the Support Manager. This role is 100% remote with the ability to WFH while defining a schedule that works best for you and the team you oversee. Qualifications are listed below:
The candidate that wins this position is a self-starter and disciplined. It doesn’t matter where you’re located, you get the job done. Experience managing, motivating, and leading a workforce remote or otherwise is instrumental to success in this position. An appreciation for music, arts, and the outdoors are character traits that all employees at SVR share. In addition, the following technical requirements are required:
  • 3-4 + years of real-time rendering experience (Unreal Engine preferred)
  • Engine expert with mastery level knowledge of rendering pipeline and key UE4 systems
  • 3 + years of experience working with VR development (forward rendering preferred)
  • 3+ years of replication experience with Steam/Oculus online subsystems for player networking
  • 3+ years of experience using Perforce or other source control
  • 3+ years programming primary gameplay systems
  • 2+ years of experience managing testing/support staff to track and resolve bugs
  • Experience with both locally hosted and dedicated server multiplayer gaming
  • Proficient in UE4 with both blueprint code and C++/Visual Studio
  • Deep knowledge of profiling tools, optimization expert
  • Extremely passionate about music, art, gaming, and VR/AR
