Onward Search is looking for an Associate User Experience Designer for a top-level national Financial institution. The ideal User Experience Designer has a passion for creating simple yet attractive solutions to complex problems. Keen attention to detail & an understanding of balancing innovation with consistency is required.

As a UX Designer, you should be familiar with a wide array of design tools and always be ready to learn the next one. While Front End Dev expertise is not a requirement, having a familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript or XCode will be a big plus. This position is on-site for the duration of the contract at our client’s Columbus office.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience defining a design system & language, as well as advocating its application across different products & platforms
  • Comfortability being a member of a larger design team & participating in design critiques and peer reviews
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to realize your designs.
  • Design products across mobile and web that targets specific customer values as well as business goals
  • Create wireframes, user flows and prototypes (as needed) to communicate and learn about your designs

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years’ experience of UX or Product Design
  • Cross platform design expertise
  • Experience in building UI functional prototypes (e.g. InVision, Principle, Axure, etc.)
  • Portfolio which demonstrates as much quality as design methods
  • Experience in designing complex applications which are rich in interaction
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and other modern tools
