Onward Search is on the hunt for a Jr UX Designer to join our Entertainment client for a long-term contract position.
You will report to the Director of Digital Product and be responsible for:
Collaborating with product managers and engineers to continue evolving the design, vision, and strategy for the new News/Online internal content management system (CMS).
Develops and documents detailed user experience specs, wireframes, and prototypes for our internal content management system (CMS)
Be a subject matter expert on industry standards for usability, UX/UI principles, and information architecture
Identify UX milestones and assign detailed deliverables to relevant individuals and teams
Present design process and decisions to stakeholders with rationale and potential alternatives
Remain up to date on the latest digital platform development
Work closely with the engineering team to support development of proposed solutions and UX handoff
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in UX or similar role, and ideally with defining the UX/UI of a custom content management system (CMS), project management site, or any site holding information
Strong portfolio featuring examples of UX work and wireframes
Proficient knowledge of UX design tools such as Sketch and InVision to create interactions flows, wireframes, and prototypes
Ability to translate existing brand requirements and guidelines into innovative, and goal-oriented solutions
Must work well in a team, fast-paced media industry, and deadline-driven environment
Excellent verbal and written communication, with natural ability to clearly explain design decisions and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail
Strong project and time-management skills, able to balance and prioritize multi-project workload and adjust to shifting business needs
Familiarity with Confluence and Jira
Broad knowledge of and interest in Entertainment is ideal
Seeking a self-starter able to take ideas and run with them, learning along the way
