As a UX Designer on the Information Technology department you'll lead the design strategy and execution of our internal products on a daily basis.

We will be focusing on providing UX and UI expertise and execution for an internal unified roadmapping software that will be used by executive leadership across the company. The platform is used internally as a release timeline tool to allow employees to view the release and ship schedules of various teams around the company. You will need to provide UX/UI work to push the design forward, utilizing the new design language and visual systems.

Your design thinking skills will help you combine player needs, product goals, and team direction to ensure a clear and cohesive experience for gamers at every stage of their journey.You'll partner with a development team in an agile environment and collaboratively establish targets for the player experience and interaction design. You’ll also draw from experience with direct outreach to customers to run some lightweight usability studies along the way.

Familiarity with games, the game industry, and client’s games are welcome but not required. We seek candidates who respect gamers and gaming as a lifestyle choice, even if they are not themselves gamers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct competitive analysis on industry best practices in the space
  • Communicate your data-informed vision and design rationale to stakeholders
  • Provide appropriate design artifacts for your team, including journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and occasionally high fidelity shippable assets using an existing design system
  • Break down experiences thoughtfully so that your team can plan and ship value incrementally
  • Conduct small-scale usability studies or interviews when needed
  • Ensure experiential quality and consistency across features end-to-end

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience designing digital experiences, products, and platforms as a
  • User Experience Designer or Interaction Designer
  • Prior experience designing consumer web experience(s)
  • Experience with at least one industry standard digital design and prototyping tool (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Invision, Axure, or Framer)
  • A professional portfolio with examples of your past work.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Figma
  • Experience running small-scale usability studies
