Onward Search is looking for a UX Lead Designer for one of our Financial Clients in NYC on a temp-to-perm basis. This person will be joining the Machine Experiences team to help innovate the future of digital banking. They should have experience with UX in both the digital and physical experiences. Top skills include someone with a diverse design background, someone who is comfortable in ambiguity and drawing things into existence out of ambiguity along with leadership abilities.


  • Manage, inspire, and grow a small group of talented designers, strategists, and hi-def prototypers.
  • Deliver superior creative and innovative products across digital and physical experiences.
  • Independently analyze and conduct market research to evaluate existing products and programs already in the wild.
  • Be comfortable working both across product, tech and design teams as well as across the design spectrum from research and strategy to iteration and implementation.
  • Create conceptual / visual ideas spanning a variety of integrated areas.
  • Execute proper and innovative work for both physical and digital products.
  • Play with multiple platforms and technologies in order to define and implement innovative iterations, and leaps, in the human banking experience.


  • 5+ years of UX/ UI Design experience.
  • Atleast 3+ years of management experience.
  • Proven experience of launched services that have been implemented in the real world.
  • Experience with creating digital and physical experiences.
  • Sketch.
  • Adobe Suite.
  • Experience with or knowledge of hardware, front-end code, and 3D-modeling software.
