Our healthcare client is seeking a UX Researcher to join a team of researchers who work with a multitude of other offices and departments for this large company. This role will be traveling and shadowing to gain insight. Must be ok with travel as well as working remote at times. This freelance opportunity is slated to end in December, however there is a very good chance the project will extend into mid 2019. Healthcare experience a plus.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Task Analysis experience - capable of creating task flows.
  • Heuristic/Qualitative approach.
  • Able to shadow and work with different types of people.
  • Experience working with confidential, sensitive information.
  • Contextual inquiry.
  • Design, conduct, analyze and report on user-centric design research and usability testing.
  • Identify user needs and goals.
  • Task and workflow modeling.
  • Experience with ethnography and persona development as well as rapid iterative usability testing, and more formal in-depth testing.
  • Minimal supervision.
  • Online and field testing - must be comfortable in both settings in order to provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Serve as a member of a team that acts as a repository of research-based usability knowledge.
  • Work with designers to test proposed look and feel initiatives.
  • Coordinate, conduct moderate usability tests and prepare written analysis.
  • 4+ years experience.
