Our client, a Fortune 500 organization with offices in the northern suburbs, is seeking a UX Researcher to work on a 3-month long contract. This project is an ethnographic research project on consumer experiences with purchasing their product.

The ideal candidate must be able to independently plan, set up, recruit for, and execute the study, analyze the insights, and create deliverables, utilizing recruitment and data collection tools and software available to the UX team. Additionally, you may be asked to also perform work on any of the following activities: personal development, design sprint planning, usability testing.

Skills and Requirements:

  • At least five years of relevant experience within a behavioral research function; interdisciplinary design and research background preferred.
  • A four-year degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Factors/Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive or Experimental/Social Psychology, Cognitive Science, Sociology, Anthropology, or related field.
  • Strong experience with qualitative research, lean UX methods, design thinking, and ideation methods.
  • Reliable test-plan management, skillful session facilitation, and clarity in communicating research methods and actionable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated competence with discovery research, task, and workflow analysis, journey mapping, and gathering qualitative and quantitative measures using design artifacts at any level of fidelity.
