Onward Search is looking for a UX Researcher for one of our largest Financial Clients in NYC on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual will come from a TRUE research background (not looking for research/ design hybrid), serving methodology & analysis. This person will be responsible for research support across 12 different lanes within the organization. This person must be able to research across all avenues (primarily bound to a couple subject areas), they will do research across the board, in-depth interviews, empathy interviews, survey work, concept testing, usability testing, co creating & huge plus for eye-tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher level in Psychology, Anthropology, Ethnography, Sociology, HCI, Human Factors, or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Design Researcher in a corporate or consulting capacity
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams, including designers, researchers, strategist, product managers, tech partners and more
  • Experience guiding teams to employ best research method for the problem and
  • At least 2+ years of usability testing and user experience research within a lab environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Eye tracking experience on both digital products and physical spaces is a huge plus
