Our client, a Fortune 500 company, is in need of a UX Researcher to work with them and their client for a freelance opportunity onsite in Orlando, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with product, design, and development teams to raise awareness of user needs, pain points, and behaviors

  • Thoroughly plan the timeline of the required research activities from concept to completion

  • Be responsible for pre-project research to steer the product design team and post-project testing to ensure product excellence

  • Understand stakeholder research needs and identify the right research methodologies to address them

  • User Persona creation

  • Be able to confidently present your findings to the business stakeholders

  • Develop UX Research artifacts including proposals, moderator’s guides, and results summaries

  • Planning, organizing, and executing workshops and focus groups for in- and out-of-organization user or business groups.

  • Fully execute research projects from initial kick off, to fielding/interviewing, to sharing findings as a primary researcher

  • Synthesize research findings with recommendations

  • Recommend demographics for target research participants from internal and external sources

  • Identify unmet research opportunities that can add value and efficiently execute them

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience conducting formal research

  • Qualifications or training in HCI, psychology, human factors, social science, or a related field

  • Practical knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research techniques like contextual inquiry, usability testing, competitive benchmarking, interviews, focus groups, and surveys

  • An obsession with understanding how to make amazing experiences for human beings

  • Experience with UX Research tools like the UserTesting.com, OptimalSort, UserZoom, or other tools

  • Experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or other survey platforms

  • Willingness to challenge the status quo when it comes to addressing the needs of users

  • Enthusiasm in ambiguity and uncertainty

  • Comfort operating autonomously
