Onward Search is looking for a UX/UI Designer with financial services experience to join our corporate client in Raleigh for an onsite contract role!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers on UX surveys and testing
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to ensure understanding of business requirements
  • Define a standard user experience that captures the look-and-feel and the navigation model across teams
  • Define efficient workflows across all services
  • Stay current on UX industry standards and design paradigms and identify ways to implement them in our product set
  • Develop detailed wireframes, user flows, storyboards, mockups, and other product deliverables to effectively communicate designs and product requirements that lead to intuitive user experiences
  • Demonstrate self-directed and proactive approach to tackling problems and leveraging resources
  • Create engaging, easy-to-use design solutions that address complex business and user needs for both Web and mobile platforms
  • Lead or participate in product discovery, including user research and design prototype validation
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in User Experience / User Interface design
  • Prior experience in the banking, financial services, or financial technology industries strongly preferred


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
