Onward Search has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and innovative UX/UI Designer with our client, a nationwide advertising agency. As UX/UI Designer, you will assist with all facets of design: interaction, visual, product and prototyping. The ideal candidate thrives on creating and iterating new ideas quickly and combines a passion for great user experiences with an eye for of beautiful design.

This is a 3 month, on-site contract opportunity located in Oakland that kicks-off ASAP!


  • Assist with design thinking
  • Own wire-framing, prototyping and interface design
  • Work closely with creative and marketing teams
  • Take successful prototypes to production level on accelerated timeframes
  • Assist with user research to inform new iterations
  • Create pixel-perfect mocks and ideas for new features across web and mobile
  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications
  • Concept and implement the visual language
  • Produce high-quality visual designs–from concept to execution (icons, graphics, and marketing materials)


  • 3-5 years of experience as a User Experience Designer, Interaction Designer, Hybrid Designer, or similar
  • Enterprise and/or agency experience is a must
  • Proficiency in graphic design, and UX/UX a must, including wire-framing and storyboarding
  • Passion to communicate complex data through delightful and powerful user experiences
  • Track record of designing successful user-centric B2C and/or B2B applications
  • Advanced expertise in Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InVision, Origami or other equivalent packages
  • Ability to listen, communicate and work well within and across teams


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
