Our client, a top lifestyle brand located in San Mateo is looking to hire a passionate, well rounded UX/UI Designer that is comfortable working in an Agile environment. This freelance assignment can go as long as 18 months. They are looking for someone to work with the UX/UI Design team on executing all phases of the design process—from wireframing concepts, and creating prototypes and pixel-perfect visuals to completing the final handoff to engineering.


Responsibilities, Skills and Experience:

  • Create responsive designs for multiple contexts and devices (e.g., desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Prototype innovative solutions that go beyond interfaces and product specs to user goals, storyboards and journey maps
  • Assist with user testing that involves analyzing data, A/B testing, and assimilating user feedback and activity
  • Perform research to thoroughly understand user motivations, market opportunities and competition
  • Experience with Sketch, InVision and the Adobe Suite
  • Ability to distill ideas, clearly communicate them, influence others and build consensus
  • Passion for User Experience and designing interfaces that effectively serve the needs of the user and the business
  • Collaborate with various teams/team members with different skillsets, including Marketing, Consumer Insights, product managers, engineers and stakeholders
  • Experience with testing and usability labs, and rapid prototyping experience in agile environments,
  • Should be a strategic and conceptual thinker as well as a tactical and pragmatic practitioner who gets stuff done
  • 2+ year’s experience in UX and UI design at a brand or agency
  • Portfolio/samples required
  • BA/BS in Design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction or related field preferred.
