Onward Search is on the hunt for a Video Coordinator for our Entertainment client. This is a long-term contract position that could go full time.

You'll report to the Director of Operations and be responsible for the following:


  • Understanding of digital media solutions (video, mobile, broadband) to assist in achieving specific department goals and objectives
  • Technical knowledge of video workflow processes including encoding, transfer protocols, content delivery networks (CDN), content management systems (CMS), video player customization, closed captioning, ad targeting and feed distribution
  • Experience in working with various video file formats including but not limited to MPEG-DASH, FLV, M3U8, etc
  • Understanding of live stream video operations, short-form video business goals, and video syndication strategies
  • Coordinate between cross-functional teams (vendors, development, IT, QA, operations, marketing, business development, etc.) to assist in launching new video products, workflow features, site features and promotions for existing product lines
  • Support live streaming events on multiple digital platforms
  • Support video publishing workflow and delivery operations for cross-functional business units
  • Continuously monitor and improve distribution efforts to meet group goals and objectives
  • Provide clearly communicated status and milestones to executive stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Provide product ideas and feedback for management consideration
  • Remote coverage will be required
  • Some weekend and late-night/early morning hours needed due to web operations and deployment requirements
  • Additional duties and tasks assigned as needed


  • Candidate must have BA or BS and a minimum of 2-4 years of digital experience.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook).
  • Be solutions-oriented and can innovate.
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills, and show attention to detail.

  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
