Our client in the Detroit area is seeking a talented Video Editor to join their growing team. If you have proven work experience for all post-production video editing, media asset archiving and management, then we want to hear from you today!

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a storyteller, editor and visionary for narrative short films/clips
  • Selecting shots/scenes based on their dramatic value and contribution to story continuity looking for the best combination of cinematography, performance, consistency and timing
  • Asset management, including data collection from camera media, transcoding video and audio files
  • Create, organize, and manage post production schedules and timelines
  • Working in Premiere editing content for client's products
  • Style of editing for products in 15m to 1h format
  • Working with existing material and/or assets to create cut-downs

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in Film Editing, Video, Film Production or a related field
  • Proven abilities in effective concept creation within a team
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and Premier Pro
  • A highly developed sense of narrative and ability to create rhythm, pace, and tension
  • Fierce sense of commitment to creating exceptional work
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to creatively work under pressure
