Onward Search is looking for a Videographer/Editor to join our prominent corporate client in Charlotte for a project-based freelance contract opportunity!

Job Summary:

  • You will shoot footage for events and videos either in-house at the corporate headquarters or onsite at remote shoots around the Charlotte area.
  • You will also complete post-production work on that footage to include video editing, logo animation, compositing, frame removal, adding visual effects, and similar work.
  • Sample projects include shooting training videos, maintenance videos, after-hours social events, marketing/promotional videos, etc. These videos can be either internal, B2B, or B2C.

Project Scope:

  • This is a freelance, project-based role
  • Expected workload would be a few projects each quarter, for about 10 hours each time (filming plus post production/ editing)
  • All work can be completed offsite but there is NO additional compensation for travel or mileage

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of in-house professional experience in video production including working both behind a camera and in an editing bay. Freelance experience (preferably with large corporate clients) also acceptable
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Premier as well as After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • You MUST have your own video equipment and be able to bring it to remote shooting sites around the metro-Charlotte area
  • Prior experience in post-production, video editing, voiceovers, and animation/motion design as it relates to video production
  • Demo reel or portfolio of video work REQUIRED. Links should be submitted at time of application


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
