Visual Designer

Our client, a social media content company is seeking a Visual Designer for a contract position. You will Support visual design needs across consumer and enterprise products.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with production designers, system designers, product designers and engineers.
• Define a new style for and implement new system icons across our entire suite of consumer and enterprise products.
• Design 2D illustrations and 2D animations.
• Branding design for new products and features.
• Deliver production ready design assets for our engineering teams.
• Seek out and utilize emerging technologies.
• Build strong relationships with leadership, product, engineering and design and play a strong role in influencing overall product direction.

• 4+ years of design experience
• Must have experience working in collaborative production environments on in-market products with a large and diverse user base.
• Capable of 2D animation.
• Understand 2D production processes and best practices.
• Understand the limitation and requirements of working within mobile applications.
• Big picture thinking with the end product in mind.
• Experience using data to inform better design decisions.
• Refined taste in art and an eye for design.
• Knowledge of product design process.
• Experience working on multiple types of visual mediums.

• Experience working in AR space.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design work and demonstrating a high level of composition, typography, layout, and concepting.
• Experience using Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other design tools.
• Experience developing cohesive visual systems.
• Experience designing and developing concept art.
• Experience leading medium to large sized design projects through launch.
• Experience developing, documenting and implementing a visual language.
• Experience working with both internal and external partners.
• A strong perspective on culture and popular design.
• Brand / Agency design experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of product strategy.
• Knowledge of basic development practices.
