Onward Search has exciting opportunities for Visual Designers with our full-service design consultancy clients. As a Visual Designer, you'll work closely with key stakeholders, fellow UX Designers, engineers, product managers and more to solve complex design problems.


  • Have a user-centered design understanding, creative problem solving, research and analyze product spaces.
  • Help translate detailed wireframes into pixel-perfect mockups for direct use by front-end engineers.
  • Design visual assets that are simple and elegant across mobile/video/print/mobile and the web.
  • You will describe, design, and execute wireframes.
  • Design systems that simplify complex functionality.


  • 3-5 years’ experience designing as a Visual Designer agency or in-house.
  • Undergraduate or graduate in art, design, web/interaction design, or a related field.
  • Experience designing for mobile and web-based applications.
  • Demonstrated communication skills and the ability to articulate your design decisions.
  • Detailed knowledge of visual design tools including but not limited to Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Familiarity with development tools and HTML is a huge plus!


  • The client is unable to support 1099 / Corp-to-Corp or Independent Contractor arrangements at this time. All freelancers will be paid as W2 employees.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
