Our client, a luxury consignment retailer, is looking for a Visual Designer with 2-3 years of experience for a 4-6 month contact.

This person will be reporting into the Sr. Creative Manager. This person will be joining the merchandising team, and should be an energetic, Visual Designer with a passion for UX. You will help craft and shape the narrative of our brand in the digital space.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit visual assets for the website & app.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to help move projects from vision to execution.
  • Developing banners/assets with challenging sizes and formats for desktop and mobile
  • Partner with the product & UX team to translate user problems, ideas and requirements into mocks.
  • Ideate with the merchandising team, developing original design concepts that reflect our core values as a brand.
  • Manage & give feedback to assistant visual designer.
  • Solicit feedback from the creative team in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
  • Create icons & graphics for use on the site.
  • Learn the end-to-end process of various creative deliverables and the associated tools involved.

Experience

  • 2-3 years experience in Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design.
  • Experience working with a UX team – understanding of how they operate
  • Experience working in fashion/Luxury goods with an “elevated aesthetic”
  • Ability to turn ideas into engaging visuals.
  • Proficient in Photoshop.
  • Proficiency with Illustrator, InDesign & Sketch a bonus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Highly organized.
  • Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude who can work under pressure.
  • A willingness to give and receive critique, develop skills and grow as a designer.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Ability to iterate multiple concepts based on user data and research.
  • Proficiency with motion design & GIF’s a bonus.
  • Ability to work within brand guidelines.
