Our client, a large beauty retailer, is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their Visual Merchandising team. We are open to seeing temp-to-hire and direct-hire candidates. This position begins on-site in New York City as soon as possible.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with the Visual Merchandising Design Manager on-site.
  • Designing the structure of visual merchandise displays for retailers.
  • Responsible for taking projects from initial concept, testing and through production including visual merchandising and graphic design for a variety of display units including cases and in-store promotions.
  • Create oncepts, mockups and full graphic designs for mothly updates and promotions.
  • Help with developing planograms, file labels, etc.
  • Manage operations of in-store design including vendor operations, timelines and ensuring printing is executed on time and at a high quality, among others.
  • Partner with the marketing, trade and planning teams to develop designs to meet objectives and launches.
  • Travel to store locations in New York City to ensure displays represent the creative vision, as well as, gain new insight for future projects.
  • Other tasks may apply.

You must have:

  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience.
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • BONUS: Experience with visual merchandising in beauty or fashion.
  • You have a strong understanding of how Visual Merchandising plays into marketing of products.
  • You are able to tie your design back to overarching product / brand marketing campaigns.
  • You have the ability to work autonomously and problem solve as well as partnering with all necessary stakeholders.
  • You have managed outside production vendors.
  • You are deadline driven, and can handle yourself in times of high pressure.
  • You have a portfolio of your creative design work.
