Our client, a Digital Agency, is seeking a Web Designer to join the creative team.
You will report to the Creative Director and be responsible for:
Plan, wireframe, design, implement, and present to key stakeholder, websites from idea to execution
Lead the design depart by bringing new design trends, and user experience practices to the forefront of your work and sharing those insights with the team
Implement your designs that follow modern design trends, using templates as a foundation in Shopify, and HTML & CSS to make customizations
Having a solution-oriented approach and dealing with ambiguity when working on more senior level website that require custom scopes, collaboration with multiple channels, and vendor
Manage your own projects with a self-starter attitude, and communicate clearly with clients
Ability to manage scope of work, and stick within said project’s determined scope
Scope new incoming projects with Business Development team in order to ensure projects are accurately scope and priced
Collaborate with other designers on designs including critiquing and workshopping ideas to mutual benefit
Update and maintain existing websites, including content updates, visual enhancements, landing page creation
3-5 years experience with preferably 1-2+ years of agency/in-house website/ecommerce design experience preferred
Strong experience using prototyping software (e.g. Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch) to build custom website prototypes
Experience working with Shopify, Wordpress, Webflow
Proven experience of front-end design (HTML, CSS) including responsive design
Proven experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Knowledge of e-commerce, B2B, and landing page best practices
Strong design fundamentals including typographical and interactive skills that match with modern design trends and best practices
A beautiful portfolio that shows strong website designs you’ve built while being able to communicate your design decisions
Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas and receive creative directions and feedback
Creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
High attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication
Diverse portfolio of design work showing strong ability to work with typography, layout, color, whitespace to create website the convert for e-commerce and B2B businesses.
Able to demonstrate the ability explain your design choices through you UX UI process from concept to execution
